Introduction: The most highly cherished gift you have ever received was in the mind of the donor before it was in the hand of the recipient. The same was true with God when He sent us the gift of life (Rom. 6:23b), He wrapped it in human flesh. One must get beneath the wrapper to appreciate the gift. We would not know what Christ had for us if the Holy Spirit did not remove, as it were, the covering. The world at large has never seen beneath the wrapping (John 1:10). Nor has Israel made the discovery (John 1:11). But it is granted to the believer to look within (I Cor. 2:10).

I. AUTHORITY TO GRANT SONSHIP

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that beleive on his name" (John 1:12).

II. GRACE TO OFFER FOR SALVATION

"And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (John 1:14).

III. TRUTH TO PRESENT FOR ENGLIGHTENMENT

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are, spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63).

IV. TREASURES TO BESTOW FOR ENRICHMENT

"In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Col. 2:3).

V. PEACE TO BEQUEATH FOR COMFORT

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27).

VI. POWER TO RELEASE FOR PROBLEMS

"And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth" (Matt. 28:18).

"Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil" Heb. 6:19).
