INTRODUCTION: I am amazed when I call to mind various Scriptures which tell us what God gives his children. "He giveth snow like wool." "He giveth his beloved sleep." He gives power to the faint, a goodly inheritance, songs in the night, and good things to all. He gives rest, joy, peace-, quietness, strength, and deliverance. We limit our message to a consideration of six gifts.

I. HE GIVES HIS SON, OUR SAVIOUR (Luke 2:11)

1. He is the true Bread (John 6:32)

2. He is the true Light (John 8:12: Rev. 22:5).

3. He is the only Saviour (Acts 4:1 2)

II. HE GIVES THE HOLY SPIRIT (I Thess. 4:8)

1. He is the living Water (John 4:14)

2. He is "another Comforter" (John 14:16-17)

3. He is a faithful Witness (I John 4:13)

Ill. HE GIVES UNDERSTANDING (Eph. 1:17)

1. He gives life with understanding (Ps. 119:144).

2. He gives understanding through the Word (Ps. 68:11)

3. He gives wisdom which the adversaries arc unable to gainsay or resist

IV. HE GIVES THE DESIRES OF THE HEART (Ps. 37:4)

I. He gives good gifts (Matt. 7:11)

2. He gives food (Ps. 136:25)

3. He gives protection (Ps. 91:4,11).

V. HE GIVES GRACE (J~s. 4:6)

1. His grace justifies (Rorn. 3:24)

2. His grace brings salvation (Titus 2:11: Epli. 2:8.9)

3. His grace abounds (Rom. 5:20; II Cor. 4:15)

IV. HE GIVES GLORY (Ps. 84:11)

I. He gives the crown of life (Rev. 2:10)

2. He gives the water of life (Rev. 21:6)

3. He gives life through Christ (John 17:2: 1 John 5:11-12).
