Text: Matt. 27:22 Introduction: "What will I do with the Lord Jesus Christ?", is the most important question you can ask. The wise receive Him but the unwise reject Him. I. What Depends Upon What You Do With Jesus? A. Acceptance or rejection before God (Acts 13:39) B. Becoming a child of God or remaining a child of the devil (Jn. 1:12) C. Having peace (Rom.5:1) D. Having joy (1 Pet. 1:18) E. Having eternal life (Jn. 3:36) II. What We Must Do With Christ? We must do something with him- like Pilate we cannot get Him off our hands. A. Accept or reject Him B. Let Him in or shut Him out (Rev.3:20) C. Confess Him or deny Him (Matt. 10:32,33) D. Stand for Him or against Him (Matt. 12:30) III. What Is His Identity? A. Divinely appointed and anointed King (Acts 2:36) B. The Son of God- (How did He show that?) 1. By the words He spoke 2. By the works He did 3. By the affect He has on history 4. By the life He lived 5. By His own resurrection C. Savior (Isa. 53:5-6) Conclusion: Think about how much depends upon what you do with Jesus. What have you done with Him personally? Have you received Him or rejected Him? SERMON FROM DR.TOM WALKER |
