VICTORY IN JESUS....
Rom 6:1-14; I Cor 15:57
Many people today are talking about victory, but few people actually know the
blessed experience of having personal VICTORY IN JESUS!
Victory is not a result of works, wisdom, or worship.
Victory is not attained by prayer, power or performing.
Victory is obtained by FAITH....I John 5:4-5
Today I want to share four things that will produce such faith....
I. OUR IDENTIFICATION WITH CHRIST....Rom 6:1-5
A. In Salvation, We identify with His Death....V 1-2
B. In Baptism, We identify with His Burial....V 3-4
C. In Living, We are identified with His Resurrection....V 4c-5
II. OUR LIBERATION WITH CHRIST....V 6
A. Death Frees Us from Our Sins....V 6a
B. Burial Frees Us from Ourselves....V 6b
C. Resurrection Frees Us for Service....V 6c
- not to do what we want, but what we ought....
III. OUR PARTICIPATION WITH CHRIST...V 11-13
A. The Reckoning of Ourselves Dead....V 11
B. The Reign of Our Sins Destroyed....V 12
C. The Rule of Our Service Displayed....V 13
IV. OUR DECLARATION FROM CHRIST....V 14
A. For Sin shall not have Dominion over You....

We do not work for this victory, but FROM IT.
