THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

1 Jn. Verse 17
Introduction:
Notice three truths in the Bible about the Blood.
I. THE PICTURES OF THE BLOOD
A. Pictured in Abel’s lamb- the acceptance of the Blood (Gen.4).
B. Pictured in Israel’s Passover- the application of the blood (Ex.12).
C. Pictured in the Tabernacle- the atonement of the Blood (Lev. 17:11).
II. THE PURITY OF THE BLOOD
(Heb. 9:12; 1 Pet. 1:19; Acts 20:28).
A. Not the blood of mammals.
B. Not the blood of men.
C. But the Blood of the Master.
It was the blood of the spotless lamb and the sovereign Lord.
III. THE POWER OF THE BLOOD
(Rev. 12:11
A. Power to destroy Satan
B. Power to defeat sin.
C. Power to deliver the sinner.
D. Power to defend the saint.
The blood of Jesus Christ has never lost its’power.
CONCLUSION:
Jesus’ blood is forgiving blood, freeing blood, fellowshipping blood, flowing blood, fresh blood, fore-ordained blood, and forever blood.
