Make Room For Jesus
Text: Luke 2:7
Introduction:
Many today are not making room for the Lord Jesus. They have Him crowded out by other things that are of a lesser importance or significance. Whatever else we do, we should make sure we have made room for Christ as Savior and Lord. Let’s consider the following in making room for Christ:
I. Why There Is No Room
A. The desire for sin.
B. The deception of Satan.
C. The domination of materialism.
II. Why We Should Make Room?
A. To enjoy eternal life.
B. To exclude the undesirable.
C. To enhance our daily living.
III. Where Should We Make Room?
A. In Our Hearts
B. In Our Homes
C. At The House of God
IV. Who Should Make Room?
A. The Sinner
B. The Saint
V. When Should We Make Room?
A. Before the calling is gone.
B. Before conviction is gone.
C. Before the comforts are gone.
(Both sinner and saint enjoy the comforts of life now but in hell there is nothing but torment.)
Conclusion: If we fail to make room for Jesus the consequences are disastrous and deadly. If you have no room for Him on the earth, He will have no room for you in heaven.
