Luke 24:3; John 20:1-10, v.9 Our text is found in v. 2 where it says "they found the stone rolled away". We come to v. 3 and it says they "found not the body of the Lord Jesus." If that little word not were missing from this verse, we would then need to do away with the whole Bible. HOPE had died, HEALING had ceased, HOLY LIGHT was extinguished, it was dark, but then the dawn broke over the hillside that early morning. The women found the guards in disarray, the angel to testify; but there were three things they never found:I. No Broken Promise Luke 24:6 As I see Jesus Christ and His resurrection, I see A Liberty pictured B Life personified C. Love purified As surely as He kept His promise to rise, He will keep all other promises made to us: Ressurection. . John 2:18, 19;Return. . . John 14:3; Reign... Revelatioi~ 20:4-6.II No Bragging Devil Colossians 2:14,15 A The curse on him was reinforced B. His claims were refuted C. His chains are still reserved III No Blocked Access John 20:17, 18 A. For backslidden servants B For burdened saints C. For broken sinners Men sailed to the Rock of Gibraltar and thinking it to be the end of civilization chiseled the Latin words "ne plus ultra"no more beyond. But when they charted other islands, they chiseled away the "ne" and left the "more beyond". So our Lord has gone through the hall of death but came out, and we know there is "plus ultra".
