The Established Fact Of The Resurrection

Text: Acts 13:30"God raised Him from the dead....."

Introduction:
How confident we are as Christian people, as we seek to establish the fact of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the Bible.  Here are some ways that we know the resurrection is an established fact.

I. It Was Foretold By Prophecy
Ps.16:10,11      Acts 13:31-37

II. It Was Declared By Christ
Matt. 16:21; 17:29      Mk.8:31

III. It Was Believed By John
He saw the empty tomb (Jn.20:8).

IV. It Was Reported By Peter
He testified Jesus appeared to him (Lk.24:34).

V.   It Was Attested To By Appearances
Jn.21       Acts 10:40-41

VI.  It Was Verified By Hundreds  1 Cor.15:5-6.

VII. It Was Embraced By Paul   1 Cor.15

VIII. It Was Evidenced By A Church
Who has changed the life of believers?  It is the supernatural power of a holy God (2 Cor.5:17).  Every believer is living proof of Jesus' resurrection.
