Three Questions of Job Answered
By Jesus

Introduction:
Job, in his book, asks three very important questions concerning
man. They are so important that they need the right
answers. I am thankful that Jesus answered them and we can
know they have been answered correctly.

I. JOB'S QUESTION: "MAN DIETH . . . AND WHERE IS
HE?" Job 14:10.
Jesus' Answer: Luke 16:19-31. In this portion of God's Word,
Jesus tells us where man is after he dies.
A. He definitely states that the person who dies unsaved:
1. Is in hell - v. 23.
2. Can see - v. 23.
3. Is in torments - v. 23.
4. Can speak - v. 24.
5. Wants mercy - v. 24.
8. Wants water - v. 24.
7. Is tormented in flame - v. 24.
8. Can remember - v. 25.
9. Can't have anyone come to him - v. 26.
10. Can't get out" - v. 28.
11. Is concerned that his loved ones will not come where
he is - v. 28.
12. Is there because he didn't repent - v. 30.
B. He definitely states that the person who dies saved:
1. Is carried by the angels to the place of the righteous
- v. 22.
2. Is comforted - v. 25.
3. Is where Jesus is - John 14:3.
4. Paul says that the saved person at death is in the
presence of the Lord - II Corinthians 5:8.
5. Paul says that the saved person is with Christ, which
is far better - Philippians 1:23.

II. JOB'S QUESTION: "IF A MAN DIE, SHALL HE LIVE
AGAIN?" Job 14:14.
Jesus' Answer: John 5:28, 29.
A. Jesus tells us that the unsaved will be resurrected unto
the resurrection of damnation, or as the Amplified New Testament
puts it: ". . . raised to meet their sentence" - John 5:29.
Paul says, ". . . There shall be a resurrection of the dead, both
of the just and unjust" (Acts 24:15).
48
Daniel states, "And many of them that sleep in the dust of
the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to
shame and everlasting contempt" (Daniel 12:2).
John said, "I saw the dead, small and great, stand before
God . . . and the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and
death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:
and they were judged every man according to their works"
(Revelation 20:12, 13).
B. Jesus tells us that the saved will be resurrected unto the
resurrection of life - John 5:29. (Acts 24:15; Daniel 12:2;
Revelation 20:5, 8; I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

III. JOB'S QUESTION: "HOW THEN CAN MAN BE JUSTIFIED
WITH GOD?" Job 25:4.
Jesus' Ariswer: John 14:6. Jesus said that we could be justified
with God only by Himself, by receiving Him as our personal
Lord and Saviour - John 3:16, 18; 5:24; 6:47; 11:25, 26; 17:3.
Paul teaches us that we are justified:
A. By grace - Romans 3:24.
B. By blood - Romans 5:9.
C. By faith - Romans 5:1.

Conclusion:
I pray that you may receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and
Saviour, so that you may be justified with God, and go to be
with Him when you die.
