But We See Jesus- He Is Able

Text:  Heb. 2:1-18

Introduction:

The Book of Hebrews expresses how Jesus is better than all others.

I. The Captain of Our Salvation

A. His Temporary Humiliation (v.7).

B. His Triumphant Exaltation (v.8-9)

     1. What We Don't See(v.8) (the world rushing to Jesus)

     2. What We Do See (v.9-10)   (Jesus reaching to the world)

             a. In His gloom (v.9) He was stricken, smitten of God, suffered                    for our sin.    

             b. In His glory (v.9-10) Leading his children homeward. Bringing                    us into His glory.

II. The Cleanser of Our Sins (v.11-13)

A. We See Redemption (v.11a)

B. We See Relationship (v.11-13)

      1. Wonderful family (v.11b)

      2. Wonderful fellowship (v.12a)

      3. Waiting Faith (v.13)

III. The Champion Over Satan (v.14-15)

A. We See The Devil (v.14)

B. We See The Deliverer (v.15)
     He took the sting out of death and victory from the grave.

IV. The Comforter In Our Sorrows(vv.16-18)

A. He Realizes Our Situation

B. He Regulates Our Sufferings

C. He Relieves Our Sorrows
     "Succour" means to relieve our pain and suffering.
