KEEPING THAT GOOD THING
TEXT: II Timothy 1
INTRO: Here Timothy tells us of that good thing that God wants us to posses. Note the character of it:
I. SOURCE OF THAT GOOD THING.
. Notice with me please the origination of this Good Thing:
1. Father - (v. 2)
2. Family - (v. 5)
3. Fellowship - (v. 6)
II. SLACKNESS OF THAT GOOD THING.
Slackness can happen:
1. When we are fickled- (v. 8)
2. When we are fearful- (v. 7)
3. When we are frolicy- (v. 6)
III. STRENGTH OF THAT GOOD THING.
That Good Thing rests on:
1. Power of God - (v. 8)
2. Purpose of God - (v. 9-10)
3. Protection of God - (v. 12)
4. Prophecy of God - (v. 13)
