SO MANY REASONS -

TEXT: I PETER 1:1-8

INTRODUCTION:

THERE ARE SO MANY REASONS WHY I LOVE THE LORD. HERE ARE FIVE THINGS:

I. BECAUSE OF MY HOPE - VS. 3 (LIVELY HOPE)

What makes our hope lively or alive?

A. His Resurrection - Vs. 3.

B. Our Regeneration - Vs. 3

We are begotten or brought into spiritual existence.

II. BECAUSE OF MY HEAVINESS - VS. 6

Simon Peter said if need be we are in heaviness for a season.

A. Heaviness tenders us.

B. Heaviness teaches us. We learn more in trials than from all the books.

C. Heaviness toughens us.

III. BECAUSE OF MY HELP - VS. 5

If you will notice in Verse 4 we have an inheritance reserved

or kept in heaven and in Verse 5, Saints are kept on earth.

A. He keeps us by His intercession.

B. He keeps us by his Inner-Planting (11 Peter 1:4) Divine

Nature.

IV. BECAUSE OF MY HAPPINESS - VS. 5

A. Joy Unspeakable

B. Joy Full of Glory

V. BECAUSE OF MY HOME - VS. 4

Notice three things about the future home of God1s children.

A. It is Pure - incorruptible.

B. It is Peaceful - Undefiled.

C. It is Permanent - Fadeth not away.

Memorize these five things and when someone asks you why you love the Lord, speak up.
