What We Can Expect In The Coming Year

Text: Josh. 3:4

I. IT WILL BE A YEAR OF VAST OPPORTUNITY

A. Opportunities to attend worship services.

B. Opportunities to learn of Jesus (5,840 waking hours)

C. Opportunities to witness for Christ.

II. IT WILL BE YEAR FILLED WITH BIBLICAL OBLIGATIONS

A. The book tells us to win souls.

   Soul-winning is our marching order.

   Matt. 28:18-20.

B. We are obligated to be good stewards.

  Work for the night is coming."

III. lT WILL BE A YEAR OF HEART STOPPING UNCERTAINTY.

A. The scientific world has gone mad.

    Bombs that defy description.

    Rocket ships reaching the moon.

B. God has given His unbreakable word.

    All things work for our good. (Romans 8:28)

IV. IT WILL BE A YEAR QF UNSPEAKABLE JOYS.

A. The joy of seeing souls saved.

   Perhaps your loved ones.

B. The joy of returning loved ones.

    Haven't seen them in years.

V. A YEAR OF UNPARALELLED APOSTASY.

A. Paul described the last days.

   Days of departing from the faith of our fithers. (I Tim. 4:1-2)

B. Modernism will grow by leaps and bounds

VI. A YEAR OF UNEQUALED VIOLENCE AND BLASPHEMOUS LIVING.

A. Paul also spoke of this.

   The last days are perilous days. II Tini 3:1.5

B. Crime and delinquency will increase.

   Parents will replace God's paddle for the devil's psychology.

VIII. A YEAR OF SCRIPTURAL EXPECTANCY FOR GOD'S PEOPLE.

A. Jesus may come in 19 . Every prophecy has been fulfilled.

B. Perhaps the trump of God will sound. We will see loved ones gone on.

C. It may be the year of the mid-night cry. Will you be ready?
