READINGS: Exodus 21:1-6; Romans 12:9-11
TEXT: "Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord" (Rom. 12:11)
Introduction
Dedicated serving touches every department of our lives. It is really an attitude, rather than an activity. Whether it is full-time service, a regular secular job, or caring for the home, all should be done to the glory of God. There are three aspects of dedicated serving.
I. Determined Service (12:11)
1) Enthusiastic Determination (12:1)
2) Enduring Determination (12:11)
II. Dynamic Service (12:11)
1) The Believer s Spirit (Rev. 3:JS-16)
2) The Believer s Speech (Acts 18:2S)
Ill. Devoted Service (12:11)
1) Lowly Service (Exod. 21:2)
2) Loving Service (Exod. 21:S)
3) Loyal Service (Exod. 21:S)
4) Lasting Service (Exod. 21:6).
Conclusion
You can never be devoted without being dynamic, and you will never be dynamic without being determined. Are you prepared to be a bondservant of Jesus Christ? He accepted this contract. Dare you refuse?
