PASS ME NOT O GENTLE SAVIOR.

Introduction:

Fanny Crosby the blind saint dreamed one night she was a little girl again,back in the old home, church,the Pastor had preached and was giving the invitation,and in her dreams she saw the Lord Jesus walking the middle aisle.He was calling one here and another there. They were leaving there seats following him,but when he got near her he went on by and she was crying, While on others thy art calling do not pass me by.

I. DO NOT PASS ME BY BECAUSE: OF MY CONDITION.

A. My condition is Depraved
. Jer.17-9-The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.

B. My condition is Distressful.-
Ps.40-1-2.--horrible pit.

C. My condition leaves me Doomed.
--Eph.2.3--Child of wrath..

Illustration: Dr. Chapman tells of a prodigal son who came home for his Mothers funeral. Beside the casket stood his Father and sister who urged him to stop weeping. Finally the Dad said, "We will see Mother again." The prodigal replied, "You and sis will, but not me, because I am not going her way."

II. DO NOT PASS MY BY BECAUSE OF YOUR COMPANY.

Never has there been a company of folk like those who followed the Lord Jesus Christ.

A. They were a Redeemed Company.

C. They were a Rejoicing Company.

D. They were a Responsible Company.
-To carry the word.

Illustration: A ship was sailing from the orient with a large number of caged birds and in mid- ocean one escaped from his cage and with delight swept away from his prison. But after many hours he appeared again struggling to get back on board, And,so with many people, they get to thinking that the church has them in bondage and break away,but if they are truly saved before long they will come struggling back.

III. DO NOT PASS ME BY BECAUSE OF YOUR COUNTRY. --HEAVEN.

A. A Holy Country.----Heaven is large but the way is narrow.

B. A Healthy Country.-In heaven no warfare but all well-fare.

C. A Happy Country.

In the biographer of Bishop Watt he relates a story of an incident that happened when he was a boy. He was in the house of a very old woman who asked him to read a framed text,"Thou God seest me." Then she said, "When you are older people will tell you that God is always watching you to see when you. do wrong, so He can punish you." I do not want you to think of it that way but I want you to memorize the text and remember all your life, that God loves you so much that He cannot take his eyes off' you.
