POSSESSIONS OF A GODLY LADY

Introduction:

The person who knows God personally does not lack in life or in death.

I. HER MASTER

Jn. 1:12 "But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name."

A. Came to her- we did not search for God- Jn. 6:44

B. Converted her- he changed her life- 2 Cor. 5:17

C. Convinced her- that she belonged to God---assurance possessed

II. HER MANSION

Jn. 14: 1-6

1 ¶ Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 ¶ And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

A. Beautiful- beyond the imagination of man to fully comprehend.

B. Bountiful- roomy, spacious

C. Blessed - light of glory of God shines into it.

III. HER MEDITATION

It was in the Word of God. See Joshua 1:8.  It is that which makes a person successful in life.  To "meditate" in the Bible is to ponder and contemplate it very deeply and intently.

IV. HER MEETING

A. Saved loved ones there- (husband, aunts and uncles, mom & dad, etc.)

B. Saved loved ones to come- (We will follow our loved ones)

V. HER MESSAGE

An old gospel song says,"Heaven will surely be worth it all, worth all the sorrows that here befall, after this life with all its strife, heaven will surely be worth it all."

1- Heaven is better. It is far better than the best of this life (Phil. 1:23).

2- Heaven should not be missed.

3- Make preparations for heaven.

CONCLUSION:

Family look beyond now. Now seems so final but it really isn’t.The best is yet to come.

Let’s remember those positive things that _______ taught us through her life to love others, to live godly and separated, and to love God and his Word.

Lets let her example affect us in the way that we live. May God bless you family and cause His face to shine upon you.
