CARNAL THINGS

"The flesh profiteth nothing" (John 6:63).

1. The Carnal Nature
"For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin" (Rom. 7:14).
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (I Cor. 2:14).
2. The Carnal Mind
"The carnal mind is enmity against God; for is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God" (Rom. 8:7, 8).
3. The Carnal Commandment
"Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life" (Heb. 7:16). 4. The Carnal Ordinances
"Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation" (Heb. 9:10).
S. The Carnal Weapons
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God" (II Cor. 10:4, 5).
6. The Carnal Christian
"And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ" (I Cor. 3:1, 2-4).
7. The Carnal Things
"If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things" (I Cor. 9:11; Rom. 15:27).
