Understanding
Not to understand is a human part of our
life, especially when death takes our loved ones. Job cried out in
grief and said, "Why was I ever born?"
David said when he learned of the death of his son said, "Why
couldn't it have been me instead of him?"
There are three things about understanding:
I. Some Things We Are Not To Understand
Deut. 29:29
The secret things belong unto the Lord our
God.
Many things happen in this life that god
does not intend for us to understand.
II. Some Things We Can Understand:
Rom. 8:28
"And we know that all things work
together for good to them that love God."
Be sure that if we are saved and love God,
then whatever may happen in our life is the will of God, whether we
understand it or not.
III. Some Day We Will Understand It All
Psalm 17:15
"As for me, I will behold thy face in
righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I wake with thy likeness."
We may not be satisfied with the events of
our life now, but when we awake in His likeness and see how God worked
everything out for our good and His glory, then we will be satisfied.
