"And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the
city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us, whose heart the Lord
opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of
Paul."
I Samuel 1: 27-28
"For this child I prayed: and the Lord hath given me my petition
which I asked of him; Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord."
She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother.
III. SHE WAS A DORCAS TO EVERYBODY:
Acts 9:36
"Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which
by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works
and alms deeds which she did."
Her life was one of doing for others.
IV.SHE WAS A MARTHA TO THE LORD:
John 11:28
"And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her
sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee."
The joy of her life was to witness for the Lord and tell those who
didn*t know Him,
that the Master is calling them.
