"Jesus answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are by brethren?"

Here is a real opportunity to give honor to a mother who cared so much for the child of her womb. With tender hands and prayerful heart she did all she could.

In a time like this we could stretch out the question that Jesus asked, and say, "Who is our family?"

I. OUR BLOOD FAMILY:

Not only did this mother care for the one she has had to give up, but you are the same part of her family and her love is the same for you. She has gone through the shadows of death to bring each one of you into this world.

II. OUR CHURCH FAMILY:

Through the Godly influence of a precious mother, this one that we say goodbye to was part of the greatest family on earth. That is the church family. All of us who are saved are part of this great family.

III. OUR HEAVENLY FAMILY:

This glorious privilege becomes a reality the moment we accept Christ as Saviour, but the fullness comes when we depart this life and awake in His presence.

"As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied when I awake, with thy likeness (Ps.17:5).
