"And Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. And
Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake."
With all great attributes that Abraham had, there were some human
elements in his life, especially when his precious companion of many years
died. He cried over his loss. He stood up and said something about her.
Who will stand up before this one? I want to be one that will stand up.
Let us look at those who will stand up.
I. THE COMPANION STANDS UP:
Nobody knows just like the companion. Love and dedication and
faithfulness.
II. THE CHILDREN STAND UP:
What kind of parent have they been? What kind of influence have they
left?
III.THE FRIENDS STAND UP:
Those who have known them in the every day walk of life.
IV.THE CHURCH STANDS UP:
The church has been the very life of this child of God. Could we have
the time for the members of the church, just stand up and give a
testimony, of their walk together.
V.THE MASTER STANDS UP:
What God would have to say means more than all the others.
God stood up for Moses and said, "Moses my servant is dead."
Jesus stood up for Lazarus and said, "He that believeth shall never
die." Jesus stood up to welcome Stephen home.
